Taishiki: Sensing Yourself in Nature

Join me online for one hour each week from March 18th - May 6th for a body awareness practice that will allow you to slow down, reconnect with your body and envelop yourself in your 7 senses.

The practice of Taishiki, or profound awareness, is a unique blend of embodiment, meditation, nature based therapy and somatic practices. For one hour you will be given the opportunity to be fully present, embrace and enjoy a sensory experience, while calming your mind and reinvigorating your body.

Taishiki is an immersive 8-week online course designed to enhance the practice of embodied meditation and explore nature principles through the lens of our seven senses:

sight . smell . taste . hearing . touch

interoception . proprioception

Participants are guided to shift their awareness from the analytical thinking processes of the brain to the rich experiences of the feeling body.

This course plays a crucial role in engaging the parasympathetic nervous system, effectively reducing cortisol levels and promoting a sense of calm and reigniting body consciousness.

By quieting the mind, it encourages a reconnection with bodily sensations and assists in integrating profound experiences, such as those from a medicine journey or yoga retreat.

Ultimately, Taishiki fosters a profound relationship with your body as nature, allowing participants to rediscover their inherent connection to themselves and the world around them.
